Skippy Domestic Short Hair Mix Knoxville, TN

Skippy is a cute short haired torbie (gray tabby with orange highlights) female about 7 months old (DOB about 3/1/23). She wandered up to a Stray Connection foster. Her left front leg was mangled and useless, she had a warbler (bot fly larvae, living in her neck, multiple, severe skin abrasions, a swollen, inflamed lower jaw, and severe diarrhea. She was immediately taken to the vet where she was diagnosed as having been hit by a car. The larvae was removed, she was put on antibiotics, treated for diarrhea, and has healed beautifully. Her leg was amputated Jul 3. Her jaw was not broken but is slightly deformed, which gives her a quirky smile. She has a stellar personality. She persevered through a horrible trauma where other kittens would have died. She is a true survivor and a love bug to boot. She LOVES everyone as soon as she meets them. She is VERY playful and active. She loves to play with toys or other cats and is never bored. She gets along well with other cats, and we think she'd be great with dogs and kids. She is going to be a very petite cat, as she only weighs 4.5 pounds at 7 months of age. She's negative for feline leukemia and aids, had all three distemper and the rabies vaccines, been wormed, had advantage for fleas, and been vet checked and spayed. Preference will be given to adopters who have a young-ish playmate/companion for the kitten, as she craves human and animal company.
