SKADE (Neutered/FIV+) Tabby & Domestic Short Hair Mix Crossville, TN

SKADE is a beautiful and sweet boy. He is the best of the best in that he is an orange tabby male adult who is gentle and loves back scratches and appreciates attention and affection. Staff has listed his age at 3 to 4 years. He arrived at the shelter in April 2024. He was neutered on Tuesday, July 15. As a result of his surgery, he will be able to go home the same day that he is adopted. This gorgeous cat was being considered for transport to an out-of-state nonprofit animal group. However, he tested positive for FIV on October 15, 2024. As a result, he did not leave on the transport. FIV is not a specific disease. It simply is a condition indicating that when - and if, your cat does get sick occasionally, you make sure that they are treated promptly for any illnesses or infections. They can live normal healthy lives just like people with immune-compromised systems. So, do not let this deter you from considering him for adoption since he is a wonderful cat. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking an adult size cat carrier with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt SKADE or one of the other animals that either arrived already fixed or was lucky enough to be selected to go through their surgery under a special program. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
