Silver Tabby Aurora, CO

Silver was part of a feral colony of more than 20 cats. Though the colony was well cared for, Forgotten Felines was invited to come and help with a TNR (trap, neuter, return) program. Within the first few days, volunteers realized that many of these cats and kittens were friendly enough to try to socialize and adopt, rather than returning them to the colony.

Silver was scooped up, along with 10 of his relatives (some from his litter, others from other related females in the colony, underlining the importance of spaying and neutering feral colonies as well as house cats).

He was put into a foster family with his "aunt" Puma, another 6-month-old kitten, where he's been learning the joys of being a house cat.

He is still not the most gregarious kitten on the block. He's a little reserved, but a very affectionate boy. He loves treats and pets and lap time. He also loves to play with balls and wand toys as well as zoomie and wrestling sessions with Auntie Puma. Considering he grew up on the street until he was a "teen," it's wonderful how well-adjusted and friendly he's become.

He will need a family willing to make him comfortable (he still has a bit of distrust for strangers). He would also do best in a home with people or pet friends he can spend most of his day with. He doesn't like being alone.
