Meet Colby (Bev-fostered in New England)
Meet Colby!
Colby is a gorgeous male tabby cat. He has the most beautiful markings!! Colby was rescued from a high kill animal shelter in TN. He is one of the lucky ones to get out and into a lovely foster home!
Colby is around two years old and weighs around 10 pounds. Colby is up to date on his vaccines, neutered and microchipped.
Colby is a dream according to his foster mom! He is super affectionate and sweet and loves to be loved!!! He really is a gem.
Colby has tested positive for FIV which is feline AIDS. He is perfectly healthy, showing no symptoms. AIDS is not a death sentence for a cat. Here is some information:
While these cats may be prone to a variety of common diseases, there are no specific symptoms for FIV cats. An FIV positive cat may be more prone to chronic respiratory infections, skin problems, mouth inflammation and certain types of tumors, but there's no definitive rule. With good care however, many FIV+ cats can live normal lifespans. These days, it's not unusual to find FIV+ cats reaching 15 years or more.
Colby will need to be the only cat or with another FIV positive cat. He is such a sweet boy and he deserves someone who will love him forever.
All cats will only be adopted out as an INDOOR cats where they will be safest! We don't want anything bad to happen to these precious pets!
Colby is in New England and ready for his forever family to bring him home!! His adoption donation is $100.
