Meet Scarlet
Sisters, Sisters
There were never such devoted sisters!
Good morning! Our names are Scarlet and Poppy, and yes, we are sisters! We came into True Rescue a few months ago, with major anxiety and fear. We lived our whole lives in a hoarding situation that got out of control, and when we were pulled out we were very sick, and lived with a foster for a few months. But now we have moved to the True Rescue Shelter, with just a bit more recovery left, not only for our upper respiratory infections, but our hearts as well. We needed to trust humans again. Even though we are only 7 1/2 months old, we have seen more than we should have, with regards to how the outdoor elements affects cats/kittens. To say we are grateful to be alive right now is an understatement, but we need some time.
So the ladies at True Rescue have been giving us that much-needed time and space to decompress. We pretty much aced the True Taming Academy classes! We both are actually quite silly, can you believe that? We are slinky and funny, and we just crack up the other cats in our room. There are some kitties that came in after us, super scared, and they are behind us in their studies, but we do everything possible to bring them out of their shells, and help with tutoring.
There will be a warm-up period with us, so we will need time to re-adjust to a new home. Our ideal home would be to get paired with one or two friendly, confident cats. We are not aggressive whatsoever. As much as we'd love to go to a home together, that does not have to be the case with us. We have both bonded quickly with other cats that have come and gone through our room.
Many have made comments about what "breed" we are. Well, we felt like junk-yard kittens before, if that is a breed, but we will admit to looking different than the others. Our orange color is extremely bold and striking against the white, and our eyes match our coats. Perhaps our beauty might compel you to hit the application link below, but there is so much more depth to us than that. That is what will truly be the treasure, once you find it.
