Super affectionate, friendly and social, this highly intelligent lass has a large presence.

A survivor of the harsh streets of Egypt, Santana was found injured near Cairo University in Egypt. Someone had thrown hot oil or some kind of acid on her right thigh area. She has completely healed now and there is little evidence of any scar as her fur pretty much covers it.

The extraordinary Spirit that she is, you would never know the trauma she has experienced. Her foster calls her one of the most loving cats she has ever fostered. Santana is a lap cat who fully trusts her human. She loves hugs and kisses and will return the love. She also loves to cuddle with you at night.

Playful and confident, she is a happy and content girl who has quite the purr and loves to knead when she is on your lap.

She is highly interactive and loves to play with her human swatting at feather wands or other dangly toys. She is a champion at whack-a-ball and loves running through tunnels. Once she exhausts herself, she will hang out with you, given the chance.

Typical of a Turkish Van, Santana loves to climb and to perch herself on top of scratch trees. The taller, better.

She adores looking out at nature so a cat’s eye view of the birds and squirrels outside would be most welcome.

She is a strong personality (which is probably why and how she survived) and is best as only pet. She only wants to be around humans.

She is great with older children 10+ as long as they are calm, kind and respectful of her (e.g. no pulling her tail or picking her up against her will).

IDEAL HOME ENVIRONMENT: This dynamo would do well in a loving and calm home that will shower her with as much love as she has to give back.
