SANDY - Super Sweet Snuggler! Turkish Van Danbury, CT

SANDY is a sweet and fun, playful, Turkish Van girl. She is 7 years old, but very kittenish. She is ready for immediate adoption! She has stunning, unusual markings.

SANDY loves people, attention, and affection. She does well with other cats. She's curious about everything and adapts to new situations, after a short warm-up time. She should be able to get along great with your other kitties and friendly dogs. She tends to follow you around and ask for affection...basically a dog in a cat suit! SANDY was rescued and is now with us in Danbury.

SANDY is a little slow to warm up and prefers a very clean environment, but she is incredibly lovable and adorable. She loves “face pets” and sharing a bed at night. Her favorite “toy” is a bread twisty tie or anything plastic that makes noise on the ground that she can play around with. She enjoys a laser pointer from time to time and is a great eater!!

Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption of a particular cat or kitten. We receive many applications for each listed cat, and we review them carefully to ensure a good fit. Of approvable applications, we give precedence to the earliest that we receive.

All of our cats and kittens are rescued, or surrendered to us by their previous owners, and now are eager to go to their permanent family.

All of our cats are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV and FeLV, as well as given flea, heartworm, and ear mite prevention.

We do not DNA or allergy test our cats. We cannot guarantee the breed mix, as we are a rescue, not breeders.

Please note that we are a privately run rescue. We are not government funded and get very few donations. The care that we provide, the animals that we rescue, all costs are covered out of pocket, so our adoption fees are higher than what you may find at a funded or government shelter.
