***Staff thinks I will be ready by mid July. My foster family says, Sandy has very expressive ears and they will tell you when she is not enjoying something, like sitting still for a photo. Sandy can be a bit shy, but she has a lovely little purr when her belly is scratched. She enjoys climbing scratching posts and hanging out in the lap of her favorite people. She is cuddly and sweet, but needs a bit of time to warm up to new people and situations.*** I am not currently at the shelter because I'm growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when Im ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal. Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we arent able to visit while Im in the foster home as its a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!
