Foster notes, 6/25/24: Rusty and his siblings were found as strays, covered in fleas and very scared of people. He went from hiding from me when I walked into a room and hissing if I came near him, to being a well socialized boy who runs to me when I walk in the door for pets and treats! He may be a little shy while youre gaining his trust as many cats are, but he is coming out of his shell more and more every day! Once hes comfortable he loves to be scratched, especially behind the ears & on his little rump, to sleep in a warm spot and to play with his sisters! Rusty especially loves his sister Dustie, and they would love to be adopted together. They love to cuddle and she makes him feel a little more confident and secure :) Rusty is a playful guy whose antics will keep you laughing. Rusty would do best in a house where he will be given a little time and space to warm up to a new environment without rushing him to socialize too quickly, but your patience will be worth it! I cant believe this boy hasnt been adopted yet, he is one of the prettiest orange cats Ive ever seen with what looks like white eye liner around his eyes and a dark sandy orange coloring! He has been around other cats and done well, he is a little nervous around dogs still but could definitely warm up to one in time! He has perfect litter box and food manners and hasnt scratched any furniture!
