Meet Rooster

So here's the deal... Rooster is a plain, black, adult cat. Unless you're a person who's specifically looking to adopt a black cat (if so, you're the best!!!), his photos probably aren't going to make you click. He's got no special markings, no extra toes, he's "just" a black cat. (Although a very handsome black cat, to be sure!)

However, since you're here reading, you DID click, which means I can tell you about this goober's AMAZING personality. He's a ham, a total clown show, and he's down for just about anything. He very much wants to be with his people, all the time, except when he's off finding his own adventures, which probably involve climbing up on your tallest piece of furniture to survey his domain, or doing zoomies up and down your stairs. He's very chatty and has a whole repertoire of chirps, trills and purrs. He can turn almost anything into a toy, and he will make you laugh non-stop! When he's done with playtime, he loves a cushy cat bed to nap in.

He is a high-energy guy, and is admittedly a bit much for some other cats who prefer more chill companions. He also sometimes doesn't really know how to channel all his playfulness... he can sometimes get a little bitey or grabby with his claws. He's not aggressive, just full of himself! But he's probably not a great match for small kids for that reason. (Older kids would likely be fine.)

Rooster is a lot of cat, and is best suited for a home with at least some cat experience, and it would be helpful if his people would help him expend some of his energy. He was found on the streets as a stray, so not much is known about his background. He's estimated to be about a year and a half old, and is now neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Rooster is not part of Walter Rescue but is being listed here as a courtesy. Contact his foster mom at eharty@gmail.com with any questions, or go here (you'll need to copy/paste the URL) to read about adoption procedures and fill out an application: http://bit.ly/pigtowncats
