Meet Rocket

Meet Rocket!

Rescued from a dangerous street overpopulated with cats in South LA with his two siblings at only 8 weeks old, Rocket is certainly one of the lucky ones. His two siblings were a bit more confident and friendly and they were adopted as a pair. Rocket is still learning confidence and socialization in foster care, but we know he will get there!

Would do best in a home with someone who has experience with cats. He is not a lap kitty; he likes his independence. Rocket will take some time to warm up to his new family, but once he trusts you he will begin to let his guard down and it will mean the world.

Rocket is a breathtaking kitty with gorgeous, sleek, jet black fur and bright golden eyes. We would love to find a foster-to-adopt situation to be sure it is the right fit for both parties.

Rocket is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated, and SNAP tested negative for FIV/FeLv.

Currently in foster care in Fountain Valley.

To begin the application process, please fill out our application here: https://form.jotform.com/212117959297062

We will try our best to be in touch within 24-48 hours.

Thank you!

Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats in ALL of our other spare time. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue.

One of our 2 main focuses is to remove friendly cats from the streets, get them healthy and vetted in foster care, and find their purrrfect forever homes!

Our other main focus is TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccination of unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. We currently TNR roughly 24 cats/month.

When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, manage them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family.

If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
Please send us an email at delgatorescue@gmail.com to be a part of our rescue community. Thanks for your support!
