Meet Rockefeller
Rockefeller is an 11 month old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative!
Meet Rockefeller! Rockefeller is a gorgeous and gentle guy who is looking for a loving forever home where he can continue to flourish and work on his socialization skills. He came into the shelter as a very shy and unsure little guy who has since gone into a wonderful foster home where he has become a sweet little man who is just looking for patience, love, and understanding. He does enjoy gentle pets from his favorite people but still isn't a fan of being picked up. Once he is comfortable with his surroundings, he is a typical older kitten with lots of energy who loves to explore his surroundings, chase around his toys, climb up with cat tree or hop up in a window to observe his surroundings, and maybe even let his curiosity lead the way into a bit of kitty mischief every now and then!
According to his foster mom, he is doing much better in a home and is quite sweet once he gets a chance to know you! He absolutely adores pets and will even purr when he's truly content!
Rockefeller is looking for a loving forever home with a cat savvy family who are able to pick up on his cues and understand that he may prefer his independence at times and will let you know when he wants your companionship. He also isn't a huge fan of being picked up or over handled so he is looking for a home with older, respectful children at least 10 years of age or older. He did live in a communal area here at the shelter with several other cats who he got along with but wasn't co-dependent on. So, he may appreciate having another feline friend in his new home although it isn't required. He should also do ok with other respectful pets in the home given slow and proper introductions to one another and as long as he has his own 'safe' space to go to if he should feel the need.
