Ripley Domestic Short Hair Verona, NJ

Ripley, with her brilliant wide eyes, was part of a litter of 8. The owner didn't spend much time with them and they weren't very socialized, so we took Ripley in to give them a shot at a loving forever home. She and her sister Legolas came to us together, and while they like each other and play together well, they really are not bonded (Legolas is also up for adoption, and can be adopted together with Smudge, or separately.)

Ripley is on the shy side with people right now, but loves to play with her snake string toy! She likes to chase ropes and string and jingle balls. She loves to eat, and is very treat motivated. She is not very adventurous, unless she thinks she's alone and then she becomes more fearless. She is working on accepting human affection, but with the right amount of time and patience she will settle into a forever home.

She has been in foster for about a month while working on socialization, and although progress was slow in the beginning, she has come out of her shell (and out of hiding, too). She would paint herself into corners when she first arrived, but in only a few weeks she explores the house, and is getting more acclimated to house life and people each day. They are pretty quiet in general, but at feeding time there is some talking that goes on, and at play time she can be a bit of a maniac!

A quiet home will be best for Ripley, but she does well with other cats. She's a has am adorable face and beautiful coat of fur, and will thrive once she is acclimated and well cared for - come meet her!!
