>Rebecca is a smaller, beautiful calico, weighing about 7-8lbs. She needs a patient foster family with previous cat experience and experience with rescued cats would be a plus.

Rebecca and her 4-week old kittens were rescued on April 27th, 2020 from someone's backyard. The vet thinks she is about 2 years old. She was a devoted mom. Her 3 kittens have all been adopted and her current foster mom has developed an allergy to her, so she needs a new foster parent.

Rebecca is very, very shy. It has taken her several months to finally come and lay on the bed with her foster. She sniffs her mom's hand and will constantly rub against her laptop while she is using it, but she has not gotten to the point of being openly petted or picked up yet. She can be very chatty, but it's not a meow, it's more of a chirp. She will chirp when she wants something, like a treat, her wet food, or for you to open a door. She has been trained to come out to eat her wet food when a little bell is rung.

Rebecca would probably be better off with someone that lives alone, or a couple. If you worked outside the home, this would be fine since she likes her alone time as well. She needs a quiet, safe space and a lot of time to trust you and come out of her shell.

Her current foster will include the cat tree Rebecca and her kittens used which was new for her family. It has a round basket about 3 feet off the ground which she loves to nap in near the window. It also has a built in scratching board and scratching posts and a little cave.
