Meet Piggy and Penelope (bonded)
Piggy: Piggy is a super friendly, energetic 3 year old boy. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is super sweet and funny and very vocal. He loves to give kisses, watch birds through the window, and go for walks in the stroller. Because he has so much energy it is important to spend time playing with him and getting his energy out as he gets mischievous when he’s bored. Piggy needs someone who works from home and is willing to take time to play with him as well as re-train him out of bad behaviors that have worsened after his current owner started to work 12 hour shifts. The biggest issue is that he poops outside of the litter box (always right next to the litter box on the floor, NOT all around the house). This started as an occasional occurrence and now it is every time he poops, although he still pees in the litter box. There is a litter robot and a regular box - both very clean- so it is a behavior issue not a cleanliness issue. He seems to be receptive to training efforts, but with his current owner leaving for 12 hours at a time, training does not stick. Additionally, he shares a common trait among the breed of being ravenous for food. He will get into any food if you turn your back. Baby locks on the garbage and pantry were necessary in his current home. If he receives the attention he needs I believe his behaviors will improve and he will be much happier. It is very important that he goes to his forever home and is not rehomed again as this is the second time he is being rehomed due to previous owners working too much. This is why it is necessary he goes to someone who works from home. He is in good health and a very great pet, just needs a lot of attention! Must go with his sister, Penelope! No dogs in the home, but another cat may be okay.
Penelope: Penelope is the sweetest little girl you will ever meet. She is spayed. She is about to turn 4 years old and is up to date on vaccines. All she needs is a lap to sit in and she’s happy. Sometimes she follows her brother’s lead when he steals food and she has very recently began copying him pooping on the floor (occasionally). Again, this is a direct result of her owner working long hours and not being home enough, but will likely require training to un-learn it. Penelope is pretty mellow but very friendly and extremely cuddly- she wants to be held or cuddled at all times. She was recently put on a prescribed hydrolyzed protein diet due to food sensitivity that caused a rash. The rash has resolved nicely on the new diet although she is now having soft stools and lost some weight, so more adjustments will need to be made to her diet. A raw diet may be worth considering. It is very important that she goes to her forever home and is not rehomed again as this is the second time she is being rehomed due to previous owners working too much. She must go with her brother, Piggy! No dogs in the home, but another cat may be okay.
