Meet Peter Fonda
Peter and his sister Jane Fonda (see separate listing) were born outdoors in a quiet neighborhood. At about 4 months old, they started hanging around one particular house and were brought into a garage with their mother to eat and stay warm during the freezing nights of December 2022.
Jane and Peter were spayed/neutered at a TNR rescue and returned back to the same garage where they could come and go as they pleased. Jane was the first of the two to allow a human to pet her. After a couple months, they were both becoming more comfortable with humans but also getting injured while living outdoors. In March 2023, it was decided to bring them indoors to further socialize and find a forever home.
At first, Peter was the more reserved of the two kitties, but he slowly learned that being petted and cuddled is a wonderful thing! He is very affectionate with his foster mom and will sit in her lap or lay at her feet. Peter loves to play and loves to "hunt" for treats in his treat puzzles. You may notice in the photos that Peter has a lower "fang" tooth that does not fit in his mouth. Well, that was noticed by the people who were feeding him outside and he was taken to a vet. It was discovered that Peter's lower jaw was broken! And that is when it was decided that he and Jane should come live indoors. It has since healed and he has absolutely no problem eating or "talking!"
Although Peter and Jane have been together since birth, they are not especially bonded and their foster parents believe they would be fine living apart. It would be preferred for Peter to have a kitty or canine playmate in his new home since he is accustomed to being with other animals. He has been tested and is FeLV/FIV negative. Peter Fonda is currently located in Oxford, GA.
