Meet Pete
Hi, my name is Pete! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Active, friendly, independent, playful
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history - will need proper introductions to ensure everyone gets along
-Can Live with Dogs: Unknown history - will need proper introductions to ensure everyone gets along
-Can Live with Kids: Respectful kids ages 10+
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Yes
-History of Litter Box Issues: No
-Energy Level: Medium
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
Additional Information:
Pete the cat was surrendered to the shelter at no fault of his own. He's an active young cat who will need plenty of playtime to keep him happy. He can be a bit mouthy/rough when he plays, so someone who understands cat body language and is okay with a mouthy cat would be best. Pete is a big boy and could use some help losing weight - frequent playtime and a reduced calorie diet would help!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
