PEGASUS (FIV+/Spayed!) Tabby Crossville, TN

PEGASUS is a gentle and sweet brown tabby mother cat, who arrived at the shelter in mid-May 2024 along with several kittens and they have been adopted. Mama herself is listed as about three years of age. She was being considered for transport to an out-of-state rescue group and was discovered to be FIV positive in mid October 2024. She won’t be able to go on transport as a result. However, cats can live normal lives with FIV. It is an auto immune condition and not a life-threatening disease. So, do not let that deter you from considering her for adoption. Thanks to a partnership between UT and Cumberland County Animal Shelter, PEGASUS was spayed on Monday, October 21, 2024. As a result, she can go home the same day that she is adopted! She is a very sweet girl and definitely worth meeting in person. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking an adult cat carrier with you to the appointment in case you do decide to adopt PEGASUS. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
