Meet Peg
Peg is resilient. She has overcome trust issues and doesn't let a missing back leg slow her down. She would thrive in a home that is safe and accommodating for her to get around. She often has to use her front claws to catch and pull herself up on things when one leg doesn't quite give her enough lift. She loves to play with feathers, catch bugs, and scratch on cardboard scratchers. Peg is very sweet but she is also very protective of her physical space and how she is touched. Because of the amputation, she sometimes has pain that can't be seen and she doesn't like to be touched much on the lower half of her body or to be picked up. A home without children would be ideal. She has been able to develop a positive relationship with another cat and a dog in her foster home, but they, too, are required to respect her space. When she does feel pain, she acts like any cat would but is more confused about the reason so she can be a bit growly which is her first warning to give her space. She is quite fun and energetic. A delightful and beautiful girl.
