Meet Pecan Pie
Pecan Pie
Est. DOB: January 9, 2012
Description: DSH Orange Tabby with White
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00
Pecan Pie is one of the “Sweetie Pie kittens”. This adorable little man is ALL lap cat!!! Anytime his foster mom sits down, Pecan Pie isn't far behind with his HUGE purr motor and lots of kisses, begging her to stay put and give him snuggles. When he's not playing chase or wrestling with his brothers, Pecan Pie's favorite toys are brightly-colored fuzzy balls or fuzzy mice, which he carries around the house in his mouth to keep his brothers from stealing them. Pecan Pie gets along very well with other kitties and with the four large dogs (labs) in his foster home. This boy is such a lovebug that it's impossible not to go NUTS for Pecan Pie!
The Sweetie Pie kittens were pulled from a rural high kill shelter. They had only been in the shelter for less than 16 hours and had already been marked “dead” in the computer when a volunteer who works with a dog rescue called us and asked us if we could take them because the shelter was minutes away from putting them to sleep.
Pecan Pie has a healed ulcer on his left eye. He has been examined by the specialists at Animal Eye Care and it was determined that his eye was perforated when he was about 2-3 weeks old. Diagnosis is the eye is healed, comfortable, and visual and no therapy or treatment is needed.
Fully vetted: treated for fleas, ear mites, and intestinal parasites, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted), spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (including FVRCP+FeLV [initial vaccination and booster] and rabies), and microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
