Meet Ozzy

*** Ozzy is in a foster home ***

Dark orange tabby & white, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 4/1/20, #18144

Cats: okay solo or w/friends
Dogs: comfortable
Children: 7+ older kids

Ozzy was living a hardscrabble life with a group of cats outside a donut shop in Holtville. When a benefactor came their way wanting them to have a better life, Ozzy and his already-adopted sister were able to move into foster care. It was indeed a much better life! Now Ozzy is ready to take the last step on his journey... into a loving and lasting forever home.

Ozzy is super sweet! This big cuddle bug will follow you like a shadow waiting for pets and delicious canned food (mealtime is very important, after all). Since Ozzy loves the heights on top of being a curious fellow, you may find him napping on top of the refrigerator or cabinets in addition to on market-labeled "cat" furniture. While he needs some adjustment time during transitions, once he figures out where he's at and that people still love him then Ozzy is a friendly guy who is delighted to engage with you... especially if you bring out a feather wand. Oh my, feathers. (You'll want to hide this toy when not in use.) Ozzy will stalk and chase that wand around as you move it, and when your arm gets tired you can start up a nature program on the TV (his favorite shows have, surprise, birds!) and then laugh at his wild antics as he tries to turn it into a hunt. He'll need supervision so the TV doesn't get knocked over, but there is a lot of enrichment built in there. Ozzy is a sweet soul, perfect for someone who wants a big handful of playtime as well as someone to snuggle.

Ozzy grew up in a large clowder of other cats, though we think he could also be fine as a solo kitty. He is comfortable with dogs after a proper introduction and has done well with the respectful 10 and 12-year-old kids who visit his foster home.

Ozzy is looking for a lifetime of reciprocated love and a commitment to indulging his playful side. Will you be his best friend for life?
