DESCRIPTION: DSH - Tortoiseshell Tabby (Torbie)
LOCATION: PETS Shelter (114 W Main Street) - Panora, IA
MY STORY:
One day in early September a pregnant stray showed up at the rodeo grounds and local residents began feeding her. It wasn't long after that she had a litter of 3 kittens that looked like mini versions of her. One of the residents made contact with us and we were able to take mama and her 3 little mini me's and place them in a foster home. They became our little mushroom family!
Oyster is a very seeet, low-maintenance kitty. She likes other kitties but they cannot be aggressive or too domineering. She is easily frightened by those types of kitties. Calm, sweet kitties are the best for her.
Oyster loves to run on the kitty exercise wheel and will sometimes even join another kitty on it at the same time. She's the purrfect blend of playful and energetic with a side of snuggly as well.
Oyster has the most stunning of markings on her bright tortoiseshell tabby (making her a torbie!) coat. She has a sweet little face and a sweet little meow.
Oyster has a very sensitive stomach and must be on Biome cat food, which is a prescription food. She has done very well on this food so we have not made any attempt to change her diet. At some point, her new family might wish to try another cat food but for now we would like her to stay in Biome.
If you have a quiet home with or without a nice companion kitty, Oyster would fit in nicely. She is really an easy-going kitty who would love a home of her own where she feels safe and loved.
MORE DETAILS:
Inside-only home and must keep claws. The adoption fee for this kitty is $25. Adopt a pair of kitties for $50. Each cat and kitten has been: altered (spayed/neutered), vaccinated (age-appropriate) - rabies and distemper combo, microchipped, tested for FeLV (negative unless previously noted), and treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms.
We ask that interested parties fill out a cat adoption questionnaire only if you are seriously considering adopting this sweet kitty. You can get the application by going to our website at "http://www.panorapets.com/adopt"
and clicking on the "Cat Adoption Questionnaire" button at the top of the page. Once you have submitted the questionnaire, an adoption coordinator will contact you usually within 24 hours. Please be patient and thank you for your interest in this kitty.
P.E.T.S. supports the "Paws Need Claws" Campaign. Cats are rather attached to their claws; please do not de-claw your cats.
