Meet Onyx
Onyx was adopted from us in the summer of 2024 but came back to us in January 2025 due to his owner being unable to care for him. He stayed at a friend’s home before being released back to us, but he did not get along with the dog.
He’s been through multiple environment changes and never got to settle in anywhere he’s been so far. However, he’s still as cool as a cucumber and incredibly sweet! He purrs very quickly after you greet him and he’s a biscuit maker. He always rubs up against visitors’ legs to say hello. He’s such a mellow boy.
He’s 9.5 years old and FIV+. His most recent vet check up showed that he’s in pristine condition, and he for sure still acts like he’s in his prime! As long as his wet food is served to him on time, he’ll be a happy camper. He’s very food motivated and has no problem helping himself to a second serving if someone else doesn’t finish their plate. He tells us he has to eat enough to keep up his “handsome black panther physique”. Whatever you say, buddy!
Stop in to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our cats. We do not adopt first come; we always adopt to the best home for our animals. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you can have a cat. Also bring your Vet's information so we can conduct a vet check (and please let your Vet know we will be making a call).
Our adoption fee is $50 for cats. Our animals are fully vetted before being placed for adoption, and spayed/neutered if they are old enough. If they are too young for spay or neuter, we require a $50 deposit that will be refunded upon proof that the pet has been altered.
