MEET BONDED PAIR NOCTUA AND SADIYA!
Noctua and Sadiya: A Tale of Resilience and Transformation!
Their Incredible Journey: Petite black cat Sadiya(4years) and her beautiful calico mom, Noctua(5.5years), were among the 38 brave feline survivors rescued from a hoarding situation by Red Rose Animal Rescue. Emaciated, malnourished, and terrified, their journey from the brink of death to playful companions has been nothing short of miraculous.
Building Trust with Love and Care: Semi-feral Noctua found comfort in the patient and compassionate care of their foster parent. Through many months of dedication, a bond of trust began to blossom. From being coaxing out with enticing food/treats to discovering the joy of play, Noctua emerged from hiding with Sadiya's more outgoing nature playing a crucial role in the process. Noctua is trained to go into a large dog kennel, where she is fed at mealtimes to protect her food from being gobbled up by her daughter. Kennel training has also made it easier to get Noctua into a carrier for vet visits since she has a tendency to hide. She is not at all aggressive, just shy and timid. The kennel can go with her on adoption.
Playtime Magic: Daily playtime has become a cherished ritual for this dynamic duo. Sadiya, the lively black cat, eagerly rushes to greet her foster parent, while Noctua, the calico mom, engages in adorable antics, purring in anticipation. Witnessing Noctua's transformation from a terrified cat hiding in her shelter to a playful companion is heartwarming.
What They Love: Sadiya adores being brushed (although care should be taken as she can get overstimulated). Noctua sits nearby and purrs, enjoying the good feelings, but is not yet brave enough to be petted or brushed (but she will take treats by hand). Both cats appreciate cushy beds and high spots like tall cat posts and bookcases. Sadiya is particularly agile, having earned the nickname “Ninja Kitty.” Sunny window ledges with good views of local birds and wildlife are a favorite shared pastime. If you happen to be a Reiki practitioner, that would be an additional bonus for them since they also enjoy their daily sessions.
Ready for Adoption: Both Noctua and Sadiya are spayed, fully tested, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and are eagerly awaiting a forever home where they can continue their journey together. They are a bonded pair and need a quiet household with no dogs or young children. They lived in a community situation before rescue, so we believe they will be okay with other cats if a slow introduction is done. They are both champions of litter box use. Your patience will be rewarded with the joy and companionship these survivors bring into your life.
Are you ready to be a part of their happily ever after? Adopt Noctua and Sadiya, and let the magic of their journey continue in your home!
Noctua and Sadiya's adoption fee TOGETHER is $125 thanks to a partial sponsor.
An approved application and an appointment is required.

*While we try to ensure every cat is healthy, no rescue cat is perfect. Please keep in mind that ANY kind of stress can disrupt a cats life. New environment, new people, new food. Cats can sneeze or have a runny nose too, so please give them time to adjust. Many of our cats come from horrendous outside situations. Many had open wounds, infections, parasites, and were malnourished. Regardless, EVERY cat deserves another chance. Please take this into consideration when filling out an adoption application. All newly adopted animals should be established with your vet as soon as possible, before any emergency arises.
