Meet Mr. Whiskers
Mr. Whiskers is a young adult who came to us as an injured stray. He spent his first few weeks at the shelter absolutely terrified, which is not uncommon, but has settled in to be a friendly fella (mostly) who gets really excited to see his human friends for snackies and scratchies.
He has proven to be somewhat selective with people, as in, he likes most of those he meets, but occasionally meets someone he isn’t terribly fond of and then he can be a bit sassy. Because of this, perhaps he’s not the best match for a family with young kiddos, or a super busy home with tons and tons of company. That being said, he is a generally friendly bloke and those quirks could absolutely just be a response to shelter stress and overstimulation.
He will probably do just fine in a home with other pets who are respectful of boundaries, but we always recommend slow integration into the fold for the very best results.
THE BASICS:
Breed/mix: domestic short hair
Age guesstimate: maybe 2 years oldish
Approximate weight/size: larger end of average. He’s not overweight by any means, but he is a bit of a thicc boi.
Energy level: high end of medium. He’s into the chills but also dabbles in the thrills.
Cattitude: depends on who you are! If you’re in the circle of trust, the cattitude is low. If you’re outside the circle, well, he can definitely sass it up a bit.
Have we mentioned he’s extremely handsome?
