Hello. My name is Montoya (after Inigo Montoya from the movie Princess Bride). I had a very serious encounter with something, although Ms Tana is not sure what. Wish I could tell her everything I have been through because it has been bad. I really want to trust humans and get and give nothing but kind and gentle love, but I am so afraid. People have been really mean to me in the past. I am very fortunate to be alive and that Ms Tana was alerted to my plight of being a seriously injured stray who needed help. All the usual bait of mackerel, tuna, and various wet food did not work. I finally went inside the trap for warm rotisserie chicken. It smelled so good, and I was so hungry. Ms Tana took one look at my face wounds and how it had affected my eyes, and her heart felt an urgency to get me some medical attention asap. Of course, since I was so scared and acting very feral, it had to wait until after I was under anesthesia for my neuter. The vet got my wounds all clipped and cleaned, and I got a long acting antibiotic injection of convenia. I was also vaccinated against rabies and fvrcp and treated with flea prevention. Ever since then, which was back on June 25th, 2023, I have been in the care of Ms Tana in a 3 shelf kitty condo cage at one of the Feline Felicity houses. All I want is love, but I am still afraid sometimes and still lash out in fear, especially when I am getting my food twice a day. I always had to fight for that outside, and did without a lot. Now I act like a wild tiger when getting my food, like give it to me now; don't you dare take it away; and who knows when I will get to eat again. Ms Tana is hoping and praying I learn that she only wants to help me and see that I get nothing but gentle and kind tlc in my life from now on. I am trying to believe her. After my tummy is full, I calm down and enjoy some pets from her. She can tell I really want more and more of that, but I am not yet convinced that I am safe and will never go hungry or be hurt again. If you are very cat experienced and pay attention to cat body language and other ways in which we communicate, and feel confident that you can help me in my journey to be a pampered indoor only cat, I would be furever grateful. I remember human love and kindness at some point in my younger days, because I am not 100% feral. That is obvious when I am not hungry, am just relaxing, don't feel threatened in any way, and am thoroughly enjoying getting some kitty love. Please let Ms Tana know if you have room in your heart and home to help me evolve into a totally spoiled and chilled out cat in the near future. I'm sort of still waiting to exhale, like I can't completely believe I'm safe and will not have to struggle to survive again. I want to just live a simple indoor only life with all my tlc needs willingly provided and purrfect peaceful quality time shared for the rest of my nine or more lives.
