Moira Rose Domestic Short Hair Davis, CA

Moira Rose is one of our toughest and sweetest mama cats. She was brought into our hospital in rough shape with her four newborns. Sadly only one of her kittens, David, survived. Moira was sick and traumatized and not very interested in motherhood, earning her the name. However she was very tolerant and patient with her rambunctious little one, even when we gave her two more sick singleton kittens to care for. It was clear she had been around people before, but probably never lived indoors. It took her a while to adjust to her new surroundings and she is still getting used to all the strange sounds of a household, but she is getting more comfortable every day and we are starting to see more and more of her sweet, curious personality.

Moira is a young mama - probably only about a year old. She enjoys playing with her kittens in the evenings, but is reserved and mellow most of the time. She is still learning to trust new people. It takes a while for you to earn her confidence but once you do she is sweet and affectionate and will curl up right in your lap for cuddles. She has been in a few different foster homes and seems to get along well with other adult cats she has met. While she has had some interactions with dogs and children, we think she will be happiest in a calm, cat-centric household where she can relax and let her true personality shine. True to her Siamese looks, Moira can also be quite vocal, particularly when she is anxious. We have noticed especially when she is put in a new location she has a lot to say while she figures it out. Potential adopters should be aware that there will be an adjustment period until she feels comfortable in her new home. This beautiful girl has more than earned a great forever home where she can finally relax.
