Hitotsu, futatsu, mittsu, iku! One, two, three, go! I’m a 3-year-old boy named Mittsu, which is a very fitting name for me since I only have three legs after my rear right leg was amputated due to severe injury when I was first brought to Paws and Claws in February 2022. But don’t let my lack of a fourth leg fool you, I could still run and play with the other cat in my foster home. One of my favorite things was to jump onto the short cat condo to look out the window at the birds. I was extremely shy and hid for quite a while when I first went to my foster home. With time and much patience from my foster mom, I came out of my shell quite a bit. I was adopted in October, but was returned to the shelter recently because my adopter said we were not a good match. I still startle easily and do not like people approaching me suddenly. It is much better if you just sit down and let me come to you. Once I am comfortable with someone I do enjoy being petted and will lie next to you; I am not a fan of lap sitting yet. I am told I have very soft fur; I have a beautiful medium-haired orange coat. I do enjoy wand toys and wrestling with other cats after I have had some time to get to know them. My foster mom described me as a shy, quiet, handsome boy who is really a sweetheart. Can I be your sweetheart? So, hitotsu, futatsu, mittsu – kite – one, two, three – come!
