Meet Milton
Milton was rescued from street life by a kind person. It was discovered that he had suffered a broken ankle at some point, but the break had already healed. Milton's ankle on his rear leg is fused in position. Two vets have examined Milton's leg. Both said that he should not have the leg removed, but he may develop arthritis in the leg later. He also has hyperkeratosis on all his paw pads. They are very hard and do not shed normally, so they grow little outcroppings that eventually fall off. He's gained weight with us and needs to lose a few pounds.
Milton is sweet and a little feisty. He tends to bite playfully, not with aggression, we think it's just his way of playing. And he is getting better and more comfortable at playing with cat toys. He loves to swat at a feather toy, but isn't ready to chase a laser light.
In the weeks that we have had Milton, we can tell that he has relaxed and wants human attention. We have tried a slow introduction to our other cats. He does tend to stalk the other cats and will eventually give chase. So it might be best for him to be your only cat, or very, very slowly introduced.
Due to his nibbling tendencies, we recommend no small children in his forever home.
He can jump on low objects and he has almost run after a toy, so he has potential for those things as his leg continues to heal and strengthen.
He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and flea and worm free.
If you have some patience and love, Milton could be your new forever buddy!!
