Meet Milo

Milo was noticed in a neighborhood cat colony and discovered to be "way too friendly to be out there". He was taken in by a nice family who had him vetted and tried to integrate him into their home. Unfortunately, their resident kitties did not take to him and he had to find another home. Their dog did however enjoy spending time with Milo and the two were good buddies once Milo realized the dog was not going to try to eat him!

Milo is an absolute love bug, he LOVES people, including kids! A family with small children came to visit the other day and he stole the show! He was great will little ones from four years old up to teenagers!

Milo does well with other friendly cats. He is patient and works hard to make friends. Milo enjoys being outside, but due to him being positive for feline leukemia, he will need to be strictly indoors. He would love a home with a secure catio for him to enjoy nice days, but he'd also settle for a nice window to look out of!

Milo is marked as "special needs" because he is positive for the feline leukemia virus (FeLV). This does NOT impact his lovingness, playfulness or adoptability, as you can see he is a handsome, healthy boy! However, he should go to a home with either no other cats or a home with other FeLV positive cats. FeLV does not infect dogs, humans or other species, only cats. There is a lot of information on the internet about FeLV, but not all of it is accurate or up to date. To learn more, we recommend starting with the Alley Cat Allies white papers to veterinarians FeLV Fact Sheet: https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-leukemia-virus-felv/.
