Mia Domestic Short Hair Providence, RI

Hello, my name is Mia and I am about 6 to 7 years old and I have a story to tell! I was being re-homed by my owner who met my new family in a Stop and Shop parking lot in Richmond RI. During the transaction, I escaped my carrier and ran into the woods. You see, my owner was told that shelters are bad places so she opted to find my new home herself which I guess was okay, except for the fact that I escaped my carrier. A friend of my owner put my post up online but no one was doing much of anything, it was said that fliers were being posted and a trapper came but he couldn't offer help, I saw the whole thing! A nice ACO from Providence follows all of the lost posts and knew I was surely going to starve to death in a few weeks. SO, she teamed up with a pet tracker but by that time, I had been missing a few weeks. Cameras and feeding stations were set up but not much was seen. The volunteer from Prov didn't give up and gave me a cat house and set up my home base a little bit differently. She went before and after work and on weekends! It took a while but I was in a routine and relied on the food she was providing and just as everyone was about to lose hope, I went in the trap on December 30th! I was thin and starving and obviously traumatized but I am slowly getting better every day and more trusting of people!
