Maverick was a stray, losing a back leg along the tough life outside. Since recovering, he has rapidly decided that the indoor life is the place for him and is completely unhindered by the loss of his leg with no special care needed. Extremely affectionate, if you stop petting him he will help by using your hand to pet himself and paws at you for more attention (you couldn’t possibly have stopped on purpose). If he could, he would happily be the center of your world for the rest of eternity.
While he is cautious at first in a new environment, he is not shy and will quickly warm up as soon as he realizes there is food and scritches to be had and will greet you with enthusiasm every time you come home. He is an industrious biscuit-maker and particularly fond of head scratches. While he doesn’t love being picked up, he’ll be by your side or in your lap every second of the day, so you’ll never need to carry him to get him somewhere anyway.
Friendly with other cats, he was completely non-confrontational with his foster siblings and gave them all the space they needed to get comfortable with him. He prefers people anyway, so he will always choose to cuddle with you first. Not sure if he has been around dogs, but with his personality he would likely be comfortable with a dog companion as well. Fully house trained, healthy, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, he is ready for a home where he can get all the human attention.

2) Meet with the cat in their foster home
3) If you and the cat are a match then we will set a take home date 1-7 days after the meeting depending on schedules.
