Maude came in like gangbusters and with an independent attitude that let us know that she was the boss! After all, she had been out in the world fending for herself and her family of kittens. She had clearly not been well nourished or well socialized since her coat was thin and wiry, and her demeanor was defensive.

Although our Maude was originally frail and tiny, she is now curvy and struts her stuff with pride. She lives in one of our large rooms and she gets along just fine with her kitty mates. In fact, she has several boyfriends and she is often seen cuddling close. With the help of our loving volunteers, Maude has gained trust and after confirming that we are friends, she enjoys being the center of attention.

Maude would do well in a home with a low-key vibe and would be fine among the company of other felines. As long as she can set the rules of engagement, she would love to be the center of your world!

All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision.
