Matilda - Love Bug Domestic Short Hair & Torbie Mix Washington, IA

We are having a More Love special from now until the end of November.
When you adopt any cat, the second kitty is free, with an approved application.
Sometimes two is better than one. So come visit our adoption floor, pick a pair of besties and pay one $105 adoption fee for both.

Matilda came to us after she was found with a crush injury to her paw. Since it had already begun to heal, we waited to see if supportive care would be enough to allow her leg to heal.

Matilda’s leg began to cause her pain and the vet determined that the leg would need to be amputated in order for her to have a comfortable life.

Matilda has a super snuggly and loving personality. She spends lots of time laying in cozy spots. When you walk up to her, she gets right up and offers plenty of purrs, head butts and sweet stretches. She has playful bursts of energy where she runs all over the cat room playing with other kittens.

Matilda likes kids and other animals. She may only have three legs now, but that doesn’t seem to bother her. She seems much more comfortable now.

This kitty is described as a 'Love Bug'. Do you seek affection? I do! If you also like petting, purrs, and paws kneading your lap, I think we might have a LOT in common. I'm looking for 'someone who enjoys quiet times and togetherness.' Could that someone be you?

It is recommended that whenever you add a new animal to your household, it is done with a slow and monitored introduction.

All our cats have been spayed/neutered or arrangements will be made if currently too young. Vaccinated against feline distemper and feline parvo, and have been wormed. They have also been treated for fleas and ear mites and bathed. Microchipping will take place at the time of adoption.
