Hello, my furiends! Welcome Mama Hen-rieta and her little kitten chicks to the Scruffy Paws Family Farm! Mama Hen is 1 year and 10 months old, and her sweet babies, Wings, Drumstick, and Patty are 20 weeks old.

Wings
Wings is a sleek all-black kitten with a heart full of love and a purr that never stops. This little sidekick will follow you wherever you go, always eager to join in on the action. Whether it's hitching a ride in your arms or observing your every move, Wings is happiest when he's by your side. He loves a good wrestling match with his brother and never says no to a playful string toy. Wings gets along great with other cats and would make a wonderful companion for children. He hasn’t met any dogs yet, but with his curious and loving nature, he’s sure to warm up to his new family in no time!


Drumstick
Drumstick is an adorable black-and-white kitten with cute cow-like spots and a playful, roly-poly charm. Always curious, this little explorer is eager to investigate every new sound and sight he comes across. He’s the first to greet new people, giving them a friendly once-over before returning to his favorite pastime—carrying around his soft toys with pride! Drumstick loves showing off his treasures and often tries to keep them away from his siblings. When he’s not busy playing, he enjoys lounging right by your side, soaking up all the love and attention. Drumstick gets along great with other cats and would make a wonderful companion for children. He hasn’t met any dogs yet, but with his playful and loving nature, he’s sure to warm up to his new family in no time!

Patty
Patty is a sweet little tiger-striped girl with a big personality and a royal streak. She can easily keep up with her two brothers in a game of chase, showing off her speed and clever hiding skills. Patty isn’t afraid to hold her own in a wrestling match, but she’ll also let everyone know, with a commanding meow, that she’s the princess of the house! When it’s time to relax, Patty loves being held close against your chest, where she’ll melt into a purring ball of love, often falling asleep with her head on your shoulder. While she’s a confident explorer with other cats, she’s a bit more reserved around new people, so she’d do best in a home with older children who can give her the space and time she needs to warm up. She hasn’t met any dogs yet but is ready for her forever family!

Mama Hen
Hen-rieta is a stunning calico with a heart as beautiful as her coat. Though her early life was tough, she’s spent the last few months learning that humans can be kind and loving. Now, she’s blossomed into an incredibly sweet and affectionate cat who soaks up attention at every chance. The moment you start petting her, she purrs with happiness and rolls around, eagerly asking for more belly rubs and scratches.

Hen-rieta has also discovered the joy of playtime! When she first arrived at Scruffy Paws, she had no idea what to do with toys, but now she excitedly chases balls, bats at toy mice, and leaps for string toys with newfound energy. She absolutely adores the company of other cats and would thrive in a home with a confident feline friend to help her continue growing.

Since Hen-rieta can still get nervous easily, she would do best in a quiet, calm home where she can feel safe and secure. She’ll need patient adopters who can give her the time she needs to adjust to a new environment. Once she feels comfortable, she’ll reward you with endless love, purrs, and cuddles. Hen-rieta is ready to find her forever home and will be the sweetest, most loyal companion!

The adoption fee for Mama Henrieta is $175, and her kittens are $250 each. Applications looking to adopt a pair of kittens will receive priority. If adopting a single kitten, another cat should be in the home.

All adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies, and distemper vaccinations, proof of FIV/feline leukemia testing, flea treatment, deworming, and an exam by a licensed veterinarian.

Our shelter hours are by appointment only and are not open to the public. Many of our cats and kittens are located in foster homes. An adoption application MUST be submitted and approved before meeting our cats/kittens. We do this for the safety of our fosters and potential adopters.

Our adoption process includes the following:

1. Adoption Application
To be considered for this cat(s) or kitten(s), you MUST complete an adoption application:
- Through our website (preferred) at www.scruffypawsanimalrescue.org/
- Email a copy to scruffypawsanimalrescue@gmail.com
- Drop off a hard copy to either of our partner PetSmart locations (Johnston or North Smithfield)
- Mail a hard copy to Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue at 2944 Post Rd. Warwick, RI 02886

2. Veterinary Reference
Please call your vet ahead of time to give permission to release records to our adoption team. Out-of-state adoptions typically require an exceptional veterinary reference and are at the discretion of our adoption team.

3. Proof of Home Ownership OR Landlord Approval
The landlord's contact information must be provided if renting so our adoption team can seek approval.

4. Home Visit
Please make sure you are located in our vicinity. We are based out of Warwick, RI. Due to COVID-19, we are currently doing virtual home visits until further notice.

**Please note: Our volunteers try their hardest to contact every applicant in a timely manner but are often overwhelmed with a high volume of applications. Please allow up to two weeks for a response. We ask you to please be considerate and refrain from sending multiple follow-up emails or submitting duplicate applications.
