Maizie came into rescue as a stray, she is estimated to be around 2 years old. Maizie loves people and is very affectionate, on her terms of course! A few of her favorite things are: pets, especially behind her ears, being brushed and just having someone nearby. She can be vocal and has the cutest meow. When not getting pets and love from her humans she enjoys lounging on the cat tree or playing with cat toys. She is an independent girl who will let you know when she wants affection and when she just wants space. She is litter box trained and shows appropriate house manners. This beautiful girl is ready for a home of her own.

Maizie is in a home with other cats but doesn’t enjoy sharing her space with them. With time she has learned to co-reside. As a result, she is seeking a home with another cat(s) that would allow her to have her own space, or a home with no other cats. Dogs stress her out so she will require a home that doesn’t have dogs.

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about an animals personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
