Maestro Russian Blue Mount Clemens, MI

Maestro is a perfect pal. Just a really cool cat who wants to be a loyal companion. He greets you by circling your legs, beadbutting, and rubbing against you while you pet him. He loves affection and will rub his forehead against yours while you scratch his chin and cheeks. He purrs with delight to let you know he's thankful. He's a fun boy who likes to hang out and have a good time, chill with you and watch tv. He enjoys looking at birds and squirrels out the window, and he loves chairs. Sitting on them, napping on them, chairs are kind of his thing.

The owner passed away leaving behind several cats oddly housed in confinements. Maestro was living in a kennel with limited freedoms and just a metal chair that he always sat on. He can be vocal and not shy to let you know if he wants something, and wasted no chance to introduce himself and seek our help from captivity. He is a very smart and domesticated cat who likely had a normal home prior to his kenneled home. He knew he deserved better and never gave up hope. Rescue came, and we put him into a loving foster home. He is adjusting nicely and appreciating the comforts and ability to free roam and explore his environment.

Although his personality is naturally friendly and social, his foster has been working to build his confidence and show him he's important. He is developing a sense of belonging and trust that he is no longer forgotten and has a wonderful life ahead. They eat breakfast together and watch tv as Maestro is glued to the set. Almost human-like, hanging with a buddy or having a roommate.

He follows you around, comes when you call him, calls you to come get him... we say he likes to be rescued over and over. He will sometimes hide and call out for you to find him and hold him for snuggles. He loves that reassurance and reminder that he was not left behind and is safe in loving arms.

Maestro is a magnificent Russian Blue with plush gray hair. He's very well-mannered, neat and clean, soft and luxurious. He is healthy and fully vetted, perfect with litter box. He will do best as an only pet in a calm, loving environment where he can be someone's best friend.
