Lulu Domestic Short Hair Elk Grove Village, IL

I'm Lulu, an older girl, but my heart is still young! Sadly, I lost my childhood home and had a brief stay at the kennel before finding my current foster home. The dogs at the kennel helped me adjust to barking and noise, and I had no problems meeting my foster's relaxed dog. I'm not sure how I'll react to a more active dog, though.

I enjoy being petted (but I'll let you know when I've had enough), brushed, chin and ear scratches (I'll nudge my head into your hand when I'm ready), having my cat tower by a window for naps and people-watching, and my cat water fountain. I'm not a fan of being picked up and would do best in a home with older children. I'm quite adorable, so I'm sure kids would want to pick me up, but that's a boundary I prefer not to cross.

Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household
Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease)
Have a valid ID with current address
Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Almost Home Foundation
Be ready to make a lifetime commitment
Live in the suburbs surrounding Chicago (Illinois Residents only)
Pass a veterinarian reference check for current and past pets.
