Lil Man Domestic Short Hair San Pablo, CA

Lil Man was found in someones garage when he was just four days old. Since he was too little to fend for himself, the woman brought him here to us at Jellys Place where he was put into a foster home to be bottle fed.

He was a very strong little guy from the day we got him, always a very good eater and had no problem learning to bottle feed. He came in covered in fleas but other than that he was in fairly good shape for being abandoned so young.

He did great with his foster mom and stole her heart the very second she saw him. But at approximately two weeks of age he suddenly lost his appetite and became very weak, the owner of the shelter had to take him to her house to see if she could help him. With some determination and dedication she was able to nurse him back to health within a few days. As he started feeling better and back to normal it was time for him to return to the shelter, a mother cat and her kittens were brought to Jellys after being in a foster home around the same time,and the staff made the decision to see if he would be accepted by her. Luckily this mother cat was kind enough to take Lil Man in as one of her own to give him some much needed mothers milk which has all the good stuff for their immune and digestive systems, stuff Lil Man wasn't able to get with bottle feeding. The mama cat treated him like her own from the second we introduced them, and raised him amongst her other kittens who all accepted him as their brother.

They all have all since been adopted. We couldn't stand to see Lil Man alone after all his adoptive siblings and mother had gone to their new homes, so he has been introduced to some of the other kittens his age, and has been having fun making lots of new friends.

Although he has fun here, Lil Man is ready and waiting to be united with his new family and to go to his furever home. After spending basically his whole life here in the shelter, he needs and deserves to know what it's like to have a place and family to call his own.

He's a very entertaining guy and always has the staff members giggling with all the funny things he does and his reactions to the world around him. He is very affectionate and loves to nuzzle up to us when we hold him and purr and knead. He also makes little chirps and noises to have conversations with us as we work which are always very informative :) At times he can be a bit aloof and distant but that is only because he is easily distracted and gets kind of lost in his own little world, but with a quick pet, or a "meow" to him, he's brought back to earth and is right back to being his lovey affectionate self.

Lil Man is fully vaccinated, has been dewormed and treated for fleas, and will receive a microchip and neuter which is all included in his adoption fee.
