Meet Lil' Bit (FIV+)
Lil' Bit is a sweetheart who is looking for the perfect home! She likes scratches on her back, her feather toys, and keeping your feet warm at night. She is absolutely a lap cat and loves attention. She is not shy and acclimates to new surroundings and people quickly. She does not have any tendencies to bite nor does she hiss at her humans. She does well with any other kitties and seems indifferent to dogs, any size. She would do well with children.
She gets an award for being the most photogenic kitty ever! Her perfect home has a window for her to perch on to watch the outside world! As an FIV+, healthy cat, she needs a home that understands her condition. FIV kitties can live long healthy normal lives and with other kitties, don't let that deter you. She would love to meet you today!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FIV:
FIV is an auto-immune disorder. A cat with FIV can live a long and healthy life. FIV cannot be transmitted to dogs or humans, and can only be transmitted to another cat if the infected cat's saliva enters their bloodstream, i.e. a deep cat bite that draws blood. For this reason, FIV is not considered to be highly contagious. Unfortunately, these restrictions make it harder for FIV+ cats to find their forever home, so consider being a true hero and open your heart and home to a FIV+ cat today. For more information about FIV, visit
https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus Anyone interested in our dogs/cats will be required to fill out an adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. All our dogs/cats will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs), FeLV/FIV tested (cats), microchipped, and current on vaccinations.
We do not adopt on a first-come first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on our personal experiences with the animal. These animals live in our homes with us so we are familiar with their habits and behaviors. Home visits may be required prior to adoption approval.
To fill out an application online or to find out more information about our adoption process, go to www.friscohumanesociety.com & click on the "Adoption" link.
