Meet Lenore (Lemur)

Lenore came to us after her owners moved and left her and her four kittens behind. Neighbors cared for the feline family for awhile and when we finally had a foster available, we were able to take in Lenore and family. As you can imagine, Lenore was pretty edgy at first but she has adjusted to indoor life and being safe.

Lenore is about two years old. She has been spayed, microchipped, felv/fiv tested negative (twice), and vaccinated. Her nickname is Lemur because of her ringed tail.

Lenore is very playful but not very graceful when she plays. She will run for a toy and completely miss it and slide into a wall. Lenore loves to play in paper bags and boxes and loves to watch the birds are the feeder from the safety of her indoor perch. She is becoming affectionate and has recently started to sleep on the foster's bed and sit on laps.

Lenore is tolerant of dogs but since she was outside and had to protect her kittens it is understandable why she is still leery of dogs and would probably be best in a home that doesn't have dogs or at least a home without active dogs. She can be bossy with other cats. There aren't any fights but she will hiss if they get too close.

Lenore will be ideal as an only pet in the home. We aren't sure how she would do with kids. She doesn't like to be picked up and carried around. She would be ok with older kids.

Cause for Paws is a small all-volunteer Minnesota nonprofit 501 (c) (3) group whose main focus is on finding homes for stray and abandoned cats and kittens. Cause for Paws fosters these cats in our own private homes, we don't have a central facility.

To find out more, please email Cause for Paws at cause4paws@hotmail.com or call us at 952-259-1483. The adoption fee is $225, includes required tax. Thank you.
