My name is Lefty and One day I’m chillin at home with my human and like twenty other cats just like I have my whole life. When suddenly his my human isn’t there for a few days and some strangers come in and start throwing everything outside in big piles! Then a few more days go by and the strangers come back and start chasing all my friends and me outside! It is very hot outside but at first it’s okay cuz we all hid under the house. But after awhile we’re getting hungry and thirsty, so we go to the door and meow and meow and meow but nobody lets us in. A human next door brings a little food and water for us sometimes but everyone is still hungry cuz we don’t eat everyday. Then one day a human comes and puts a bunch of these box like things all around and inside them is some chicken! Big chunks of juicy chicken! I see one of my friends go in and start eating and as he gets deeper inside a door on the box suddenly drops and they can’t get out ! The human picks up the box and puts it in back of her car then puts out more chicken boxes . I go in one and just eat what’s in front and back out so the door doesn’t come down on me. The human is now putting another chicken box back into her car and then another. Meanwhile I can’t stop thinking about that chicken! I eat some more from the front of another box but the biggest juiciest pieces are in the back! Finally I just can’t take it and move slowly to the back but one step too many and the door comes down on me too! We go for a long ride and are brought in out of the heat and given bowls of water and food. Then we go on another long trip and suddenly I can’t stay awake! Next thing I know we are in the car again! And the the human with the chicken boxes is letting us go into a catio at least that’s what she called it and there are cat trees and big bowls of food and a big bottle that puts water into a bowl . Every night the human comes and dishes out wet food to us all. That being 14. She already has a lot of cats and I feel bad that she has to take care of us too, but I sure happy she is because we all could have died out there in the Mojave desert! I’d love to get adopted and lighten the load for her. I’ll be a really good boy I promise! Just call her at 661-317-2253
