Meet Kovu
Kovu is a shy but very sweet young boy who takes a little time to warm up, but once he does, is very playful and loving.
Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys playing with teaser toys and chasing jingle toys around the house with our other kitten. He LOVES our resident cats and really looks to them to help him gain confidence and learn that people are pretty nice! He also gets along well with our corgis, though the corgis are pretty indifferent to him already so he is pretty indifferent back. He’s even gotten used to all the barking!
Kovu is also very food motivated, which will help him get to come out of his shell, and he will definitely let you know when it’s meal time! He will approach when he wants attention and head pets, and once you get him going, he will let out the lowest, rumbliest purr.
He is a little more in the independent side, but he enjoys being with us and our other pets by hanging out on the cat tree or laying on the couch with us while we watch tv or play games. It is so rewarding watching him become braver and braver day by day and start to ask for attention and affection.
We believe he would do best in a home with older children, cats, and dogs that are on the calmer side and are able to understand and respect boundaries and won’t chase him around while he gets used to his new environment and routine
