Hi! My name is Kome. I was found in the Lake WauKOMis (get it?) area by a nice lady who contacted the shelter I’m currently staying at. The shelter is full of even MORE nice ladies (and gentlemen)! But while I like it here, l would really like to find a forever home to call my own. I’m a big boy, probably because I’m filled with so much love. I love all people, including kids – the shelter recently had an activity with children, and I got to be a part of it! I’m not sure how I would do in a home with other cats or dogs, so a “slow introduction” is what my shelter recommends.

Besides being a fun take on Lake Waukomis, my name also means “gift from God” in African culture. If you take me home with you, I promise to be the gift that keeps on giving – especially all the love I have!
