Kiwi Domestic Short Hair Jacksonville, FL

Mamma Kiwi was a 9-month-old stray kitten that was found outside with a litter of kittens when she herself was just a little kitten. Kiwi is a little over a year old now. Sadly she was a product of people having good intentions to feeding strays and then not fixing them causing an influx of strays. Her foster Mom won her trust through feedings and was able to catch Kiwi and find her babies and the rest is history. We’ve spent months socializing and helping Kiwi since May of 2024 to trust humans and realize that love is true and real.

Mamma Kiwi is a complex kitty who needs someone special that is willing to give her the time to adjust to new surroundings as change stresses this sweet girl out. Once she’s adjusted, she is such a love bug. She loves following her foster Mom around, purring, sweet head nudges, sun bathing, and laying next to her humans. Her foster Mom can’t do anything without Kiwi being right there by her side and comes flying around the corner any time she’s called.

Kiwi is still young and loves to play, especially with a string! She does okay with other kitties but will need some time to adjust to her new environment and will need to be properly introduced to another cat. Kiwi is also a churu addict and very food motivated. Kiwi has been raised in a home with kids and she loves to play but has her limits on wild kids. Her foster brother knows those limits and knows to not pick her up or stress her out. She does very well with children who respect her boundaries.

Kiwi does NOT do well with Dogs and must be in a home without dogs. Being that she was on the streets for most of her life, there is no telling what she has experienced with other dogs. She does stay in a foster home with a medium calm dog currently who she bullies on a regular basis and is mean too so it is highly recommended for her to be in a house hold without a dog.

Kiwi can be spicy at events and while adjusting to change but is the best girl when the dust settles. Hoping someone will see through her anxiety and give her the chance at a forever family.

All of our foster kitties are raised in foster homes, are up to date on vaccines for their size, spayed/neutered, FELV/FIV tested and microchipped.
