The brave heroine of this tale has known a lot of heartache in her life. This darling senior kitty lost her home twice in the past four years. During the pandemic, her original people felt they could no longer care for her and brought her to a shelter. Looking for a more mature kitty, her most recent guardian adopted Kisuke and planned to give her a forever home for the rest of her life. Sadly, the woman developed health issues that began to impair her ability to care for Kisuke, and she reached out to The Rescue House. Once she came into our care, we got Kisuke a full check-up and a dental cleaning; we are happy to report that she is in spectacular health. After that, she spent a little time in foster care decompressing and preparing for her next adventure-joining the Cat & Craft crew!

This beautiful, petite, and slender girl is very sweet and would make a wonderful addition to any home! A real love bug, Kisuke enjoys snuggling with her human. (Like most self-respecting cats, she just prefers to be the one who chooses when the canoodling goes down.) If the mood strikes her, though, she is all in and will sit on your lap for hours. Extremely low maintenance and an independent lady that knows her own mind, Kisuke is happy to do her own thing and set her own schedule. She will roam around to keep herself entertained and intersperse that with naps and cuddle sessions with you! This senior lady isn't fussy when it comes to food-she has a great appetite and enjoys both moist and dry options. (Moist is best to preserve her excellent kidney function; however, a few crunchy snacks won't hurt to mix things up.) While she isn't super picky in terms of flavors, if you asked her, she would tell you that fishy ones are her favorite. She also adores the treats she receives for being such a well-behaved kitty, especially Greenies! Although she doesn't enjoy when you hold her for any extended period in your arms-she will climb on your shoulders if you try it-you can pick her up and move her without difficulty should you need to do so. A huge fan of co-sleeping, she'll get on the bed at night and climb on top of her human to sleep. (If you are not totally down for that, she will sleep beside you too!) Essentially, Kisuke is a simple cat who is easy to please-all she wants are pets, cuddles, treats, and sunny spot for lounging!

While Kisuke has been around numerous other cats and tolerates them, she would prefer to be a solo kitty. She could coexist with another cat in her next home as long as that kitty is not looking for a bosom buddy and willing to give her the space she needs. We don't know how she feels about children or dogs. Respectful older children should be fine.

Unfortunately, this precious kitty lost her last two homes through no fault of her own. She will bring joy and happiness to anyone who welcomes her into their heart. While she may not be a spring chicken anymore, she still has a lot of love to give! Will you be the lucky one to receive it?
