Meet Kismet
Kismet
To be entirely honest, I was less then enthusiastic when I first met this tiny grey and white kitten. He was born to a feral mom at a local mobile home park. The other kittens in the litter were fearful, like their mom, and scampered off. One of the residents reported, however, that he was always at her door meowing for a pet or food.
At first glance, I sighed. He had not only the typical eye and respiratory infections of outside kittens, but ringworm too-with multiple spots of hair loss.
With so many other foster cats and kittens at home, I wasn’t sure I wanted to risk it.
But then I looked into his eyes and felt something pass. Our paths had crossed for a reason.
"Kismet" is a word meaning fate/destiny and so this little kitten was named.
Initially isolated from others, Kismet was still beyond grateful. He enthusiastically greeted me with every visit and became a purring bundle of joy. When a second kitten with ringworm joined him-life took another wonderful turn. Kismet had a full time playmate and buddy.
Kismet has put those early days behind him but remains a wonderful kitten who loves people and other cats.
Kismet is always game for a snuggle on the couch.
He is quite dapper in his grey and white tuxedo coat and can be a “lady’s man” but a “guy’s guy” too when it comes to playtime.
It was fate Kismet.
You got a chance so many other struggling kittens never have and there is no doubt your loving family is just a visit away.
Just like me, they will be so fortunate to be part of your destiny.
