Meet Kindred
Kindred is a beautiful soul as well as a beautiful cat. She was young, homeless and so skinny that the UCC rescuer who trapped her had no idea she was even pregnant. That is, until she went into labor literally on the way to Animal Control to be spayed. Animal Control has no place for a mom with newborns, but the staff there fell in love with her and called UCC. You will fall in love with her too, when you meet her.
We are sure that Kindred had a home once-upon-a-time because she LOVES people. Definitely NOT a feral cat. Lost? Abandoned? . . . Who knows? But we do know that she is extremely people-oriented. Even when her kittens (now healthy and ready for adoption) were newborns, Kindred would start purring as soon as she saw a human. She loves to be held, petted, snuggled, or just lie quietly on a lap. Pick her up & she will start purring & rubbing her head against you. She had love and she wants it again – a home and one or more peeps of her own.
Kindred’s calico pattern is a piece of modern art: perfectly balanced between the black & gold and her bright white parts. She has one black hind leg, a tiny black spot on her nose, and a long, graceful tail. And those green eyes – wow! But all that cat beauty is outshone by her beautiful personality. She loves to play (was probably still a kitten herself when she got pregnant) but her greatest joy is to look into the face of her human and know that her love is returned.
Kindred would be happiest as your one and only pet. No other cats or dogs.
