Before you are swept away by this gorgeous hunk of loves gorgeous baby blues, we have something very important to share about purrecious Kahlua. As you can see, Kahlua is a stunning Blue Point Siamese, however he requires a specialized diet due to a history of urinary crystals. He is eating either Hill’s CD Stress or Royal Canin Urinary SO. Both are prescription diets and his future home will need to continue this diet along with working with their veterinarian to help maintain his health. This is of utmost importance! The cost of the prescription diets vary, we’ve found the best value through autoship through Petsmart.

Now onto this handsome and daPURR boy's purrsonality. Kahlua is a love sponge extraordinaire and if your lap is available, he is the first to place himself there. He absolutely adores the company of people and is ready, willing and able to share his heart. Kahlua is a very gentle soul and does exceptionally well with his other feline friends. He lived previously with a large clowder and he adapted purrfectly with the kitty friends he has befriended at the shelter. He has ameowzingly huge polydactyl paws! Kahlua is around 6 years young and is seeking out a home that will continue to provide him with the love and care he will need to stay happy and healthy!

Purrlease ensure you have purrmission to have a cat where you live before considering adoption! We will need to see a copy of your lease agreement along with a contact number for your landlord to ensure the adoption is allowed.

All parties interested must meet Kahlua before adoption. If you are not living in Anchorage, you must come in to meet him before the adoption and make arrangements to transport him to your home. This is to ensure that everyone is in agreement with the adoption and that there is a purrfect connection.

AHS will also purrovide behavioral support for the transition and more to ensure that everyone feels secure with the adoption.

Our adoption agreement prohibits declawing an adopted cat, and stipulates that the cat will be returned to us if the adoption does not work out. This also applies if the adopter is no longer able to keep the cat or is able to purrovide him/her with the necessary healthcare to maintain a healthy and happy life.

For the first 30 days, cats who do not work out in their new homes may be returned for a refund or exchanged for another, more suitable, cat.
