Johnny Be Good Tuxedo Chicago, IL

Gusto and Exuberance. These words best describe 6-month-old Johnny B. Goode. Johnny has some physical limitations, but they don’t slow him down. He is a happy-go-lucky gymnast who loves playing and snuggling! Johnny has been diagnosed with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This means his cerebellum didn’t form correctly due to a virus passed along from his mother while she was pregnant. As a result, he has problems with coordination, depth perception and walking. Like many cats with CH, there is room for improvement as he grows and gets stronger. We expect that with physical therapy, his ability to walk will continue to improve.

Johnny has no idea about any of this medical stuff. Instead, he insists that he’s alway always in the thick of things and will skip his naps so he doesn’t miss out on anything. Johnny recently discovered the joy of playing in a paper shopping bag, and will leap and flip around in pursuit of his toys, and then drag them into the bag. Johnny has also made a game out of diving through a pile of pillows. There’s nothing cuter than seeing his little face emerging from the pile, looking quite pleased with himself.

Johnny has a whole repertoire of sounds for every mood and need. He lets out a little trill to say hello, coos if he wander aways and and wants to find you, and he meows loudly when it’s time to eat. Johnny also hero-worships his big brother cat and wants to be near him all the time. He also loves his big cat sister who will groom and play with him until he gets a little too excited, as most kittens do.
